Anny and David's UBC Boathouse Wedding
Anny and David’s September wedding was one of my favourites from last fall.
When Anny and I first met for our design meeting, we originally started the design process talking about the dark plum that her bridesmaids were going to be wearing. As we continued on to boutonnieres, I pulled up a previous one I had made which was very similar to what Anny was envisioning. From there we did a 180 into a more textured and non-traditional bouquet that we had a lot of fun with!
Anny and David’s wedding ceremony and reception were held at UBC Boathouse, but they started their day doing a beautiful tea ceremony for their families in their hotel room. Anny wore a stunning red dress with a hairpiece to match.
The arch then served as the perfect neutral backdrop for family photos against the beautiful river in the background.
David’s boutonniere had a touch of thistle and billy balls to echo Anny’s bouquet yet still feel fun and playful! We decided to go with smaller components all tied together instead of the traditional big focal flower.
Their love for one another is so papable in these photos!
For their reception, there were touches of eucalyptus which gave everything a clean and modern look!
A big thank you to The Apartment Photography for these stunning photos! I could sing their praises all day!
